Construction Conditions
Ambient temperature: ≥ 10°C; avoid application on frosted or damp surfaces.
Cleaning requirements: The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, free of dust and grease, and the working environment must be well-ventilated.
Operating Steps
Preheating the adhesive: Place the butyl hot-melt sealant in the extruder barrel and preheat it to 130–140°C, maintaining a constant temperature with the thermostat.
Applying the sealant bead: Extrude the sealant bead, verify that it is uniform and continuous, then apply it to the aluminum spacer groove. Allow it to cool slightly before pressing it against the glass.
Curing Treatment: After the outer sealant has been applied and fully cured, the insulated glass unit is completed.
Security Protection
Burn Prevention: Wear protective gloves when handling hot glue.
Contamination Prevention: Ensure that the colloidal surface remains free of dust, oil, and solvents (such as acetone and gasoline).
Temperature Control: The application temperature of the sealant must be maintained below 160°C; operation at temperatures above 170°C is strictly prohibited to prevent aging and decomposition of the sealant.
